Rainfire Training Policies & Terms

At Rainfire Training, we are committed to providing a positive and effective training experience for both you and your dog. To ensure fairness and smooth operations, please review our policies below.

In-Home Training Package Policies

All packages expire 5 months from the date of purchase.
Dogs must remain on a leash in public areas unless instructed otherwise by the trainer.
Training sessions are transferable between dogs—any unused sessions may be offered to someone else within Rainfire Training’s travel area before the expiration date (additional travel fees may apply).
Appointment times are approximate due to travel and traffic conditions.
Each session lasts approximately 1 hour but may be shortened if a puppy reaches exhaustion or if session material is completed early.
Any incidents of human aggression must be disclosed before the first session.
Dogs over 6 months old with a bite history must be muzzled during training sessions.
A $10 per session travel fee applies in some locations

Payment Policy

Payment is due at the end of the first session unless a prior arrangement has been made.
Accepted payment methods: e-transfer or cash.
Package payments must be made in full at the start of training unless otherwise agreed upon.

Cancellation & No-Show Policy

24 hours' notice is required to cancel or reschedule a session (exceptions may apply for illness).
Last-minute cancellations (less than 24 hours’ notice) will be charged a $25 fee.
No-shows will be charged 50% of the session cost plus an additional travel fee if the location is 30+ minutes from Scarborough, ON.

Late Payment Policy

Unpaid balances after 30 days will incur a one-time late fee of $25.
Accounts unpaid after 60+ days may be referred to a collections agency or other recovery methods.

Refund Policy

There are no refunds on packages after 30 days from the purchase date.
Refund requests within 30 days apply only to unused sessions.
- Used sessions will be charged at the full single-session rate, and the package discount will not apply.
If Rainfire Training cancels a package for any reason, a refund will be issued for unused sessions if requested within 30 days.

Rescheduling Policy

Sessions must be rescheduled with at least 24 hours' notice to avoid a cancellation fee.
Rescheduled sessions must be completed within 5 months of the original booking or may be forfeited.

Training & Safety Guidelines

All dogs must be up to date on required vaccinations before training begins.
Owners must ensure their dog is in good health before each session.
Aggressive behavior must be disclosed in advance so appropriate safety measures can be taken.
Training success depends on owner participation—consistency and follow-through are essential!

Liability Waiver

By booking a session, you acknowledge that dog training carries inherent risks, and Rainfire Training is not liable for injuries, damages, or losses that may occur during or after training.
